Matthew 11:29

"Show & Tell" (Acts 3) I. Jesus is God’s promised honored gift to bless the world. II. We killed the Blessing. (In our foolish stupidity we wanted Him dead and gone so we crucified the very one sent to bless the world.) III. God raised the Blessing. (God was not surporsied, his own prophets predicted this so this was a fulfuilment to His plan to defeat evil and so He raised his promised-honored-Gift to-bless-the-world back to life again.) IV. God made the way back. (There is merciful pardon -clemency--and unimaginable blessing to all who turn back to worship the Messiah we crucified and God raised back up.) V. God guarantees an eternal outcome. (two ways to respond +/-. God guarantees it from the beginning of the Bible up till now.)

God tells us to share what we learned because His Word creates. Here are some discussion questions for your family devotions, Dinner 8, meet-up for coffee, etc. When you hover around the Word of God together it pours fuel on the fire of God's Word. Follow God’s call into a new identity. The story of Abraham shows us 1. He's been at work in this for a looooong time (11:10-32). 2. His creating word begins with renouncing the old life (12:1). 3. His creating word will hold you (12:2-3). 4. You have to walk into it in faith (12:4-9). Discussion Questions for Genesis 11:10-12:9 Contrast God promising to make Abram’s name great with the architects of the tower of Babylon desiring to make a great name for themselves. What does this show us about God’s character and what God desires to see in humans? How have you seen God at work in your history perhaps even before you knew Him? What are the patterns He’s helped you renounce to chart a new course? How have you seen Him sustain you and bring you into the blessed life in Him? Where have you had to believe God though it was hard and have seen Him at work?

When it's tough will you turn to Egypt's false promises or the eternal promises of God?
